LCNG tanks, which supply natural gas to cars as fuel, is a system that charges liquefied compressed natural gas to the fuel vessel loaded on natural gas vehicles, through a charger after compressing the ultra low temperature, low pressure liquefied natural gas(LNG) with a liquid pump, and vaporizing it to CNG of high pressure at room temperature, under high pressure at carburetor. Through a partial alteration of the system, it can also be used for LNG, and the storage tank is used as installed on natural gas vehicles, and stored in liquid state.

The strong points of the LCNG system are increased supply of CNG fule intra-city buses, convenience of transportation and storage, and transportability of gas with no pipe installation. It can also uplift the usage efficiency of the charging stations. Furthermore, it offers infrastructure of charging station to areas with no urban piping network, and LNG vehicles can be readily utilized when supplied.

As for main components of an LCNG charging station, it is composed of LNG tank, pump, carburetor, CNG storage vessel, and dispenser, and the charging is performed in the order of LNG tank lorry →LNG tank → carburetor → transform to CNG → CNG storage vessel → dispenser → CNG vehicle.
